THE REVELS FAMILY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP 

The Revels Family Foundation Scholarship and Gala was created to provide monetary scholarships to recent graduates to support their academic endeavors. Your contribution provides deserving students of color with the opportunity to pursue their dreams through education.

The foundation was founded in honor and legacy of Senator Hiram Rhodes Revels, the first African American to serve in the United States Senate (1870-1871). Senator Revels dedicated his life to family, community, and education. He was a lifelong educator and preacher who also was the founding President of Alcorn Agricultural and Mechanical College (later renamed Alcorn State University, 1871-1874).
